Point your own domain to your ZeroCut donation page

Custom Domains

Custom domains let you serve your ZeroCut donation page from your own domain — like donate.yourdomain.com instead of zerocut.gg/yourhandle. It looks more professional and builds trust with your audience.

We recommend buying your domain from Cloudflare Registrar or Namecheap, and managing your DNS through Cloudflare.

Why Cloudflare?

  • Free SSL/TLS — your custom domain is automatically secured
  • DDoS protection — built-in protection at no extra cost
  • Domain Connect support — Cloudflare supports the Domain Connect protocol, which means ZeroCut can automatically configure your DNS records for you. No manual CNAME setup needed.
  • Tight integration with ZeroCut — we use Cloudflare internally, so your domain is served from the same network with minimal latency

If you buy from Namecheap (or another registrar), you can still point your nameservers to Cloudflare for free to get all of these benefits. Cloudflare has a guide on how to do this.

Adding a Custom Domain

  1. Go to Settings in your dashboard
  2. Open the Custom Domain section
  3. Enter your domain (e.g. donate.yourdomain.com)
  4. If your DNS is managed by a provider that supports Domain Connect (like Cloudflare or GoDaddy), the CNAME record will be configured automatically — you don't need to do anything else
  5. Otherwise, add a CNAME record in your DNS provider pointing to cname.zerocut.gg

After adding the domain, ZeroCut will automatically provision an SSL certificate. Verification usually takes a few minutes but can take up to an hour depending on DNS propagation.

Features

Once your custom domain is verified, you can:

  • Auto-Redirect — automatically redirect visitors from your zerocut.gg page to your custom domain. You can bypass the redirect by appending ?noredirect to your zerocut.gg URL.
  • Enable/Disable — temporarily disable your custom domain page without removing it.

Pricing

  • Premium members: $1/mo add-on
  • Custom domain access is also included for qualifying users — check your dashboard for details

Troubleshooting

  • Domain stuck on "Pending": Make sure your CNAME record is correctly pointing to cname.zerocut.gg. You can click "Re-verify" in your settings to trigger a fresh check.
  • SSL not working: SSL certificates are auto-provisioned. Give it up to an hour after DNS verification. If it's still not working, try re-verifying.
  • Domain Connect didn't work: Some DNS providers advertise Domain Connect support but have it partially implemented. In that case, fall back to manually adding the CNAME record.
