# Create or sign in to a ZeroCut account

## Account access

ZeroCut uses Google or Discord for account authentication. Creating an account is free to start and does not require a credit card. After sign-in, new creators are guided through choosing a public handle, connecting a payment provider, setting a currency, and configuring their donation page.

The seven-day product trial begins when the account receives its first donation, not when the account is created. Supporters do not need a ZeroCut account to donate.
