# Feedback & Roadmap [#feedback--roadmap]

ZeroCut ships in public. Every bug fix and feature starts life as a post
on [/feedback](/feedback). If the thing you want is already there, upvote
it. If it isn't, post it. I read every submission myself.

## What you can do [#what-you-can-do]

Anyone can read the roadmap without signing in. You need an account to
submit or upvote.

* Browse sorted by Top (most upvoted) or New.
* Filter by Bug, Feature, Improvement, Question, or Other.
* Upvote anything that affects you. Votes tell me what to build next.
* Submit a post when the thing you need isn't already listed.

## Submitting [#submitting]

Three ways to open the submit dialog — pick whichever is closer:

1. The Submit button at the top of `/feedback`.
2. "Submit feedback" in the user dropdown (top-right avatar).
3. `/feedback/new` if you like direct URLs.

You need three things:

* **Category.** Closest match is fine. I'll re-categorize on review if
  needed, so don't overthink it.
* **Title.** One line.
* **Details.** For bugs: what you did, what you expected, what happened.
  For features: who it helps and why now.

## Lifecycle [#lifecycle]

Posts move through statuses. Public statuses show on the roadmap. The
others don't.

| **Shipped**     | Done. Links to the changelog entry.       | Yes                       |
| **Rejected**    | Not shipping this. You'll get the reason. | No                        |
| **Duplicate**   | Merged into an existing thread.           | No. Redirected to target. |

I try to review within 72 hours. If yours sits longer, poke me at

## Duplicates [#duplicates]

If your post matches one already on the board, I merge yours into the
existing thread. Your upvote carries over automatically, and you get an
email with a link to the combined thread. If I got it wrong, reply to
that email and I'll unmerge it.

## Admin replies [#admin-replies]

Sometimes I need to ask a follow-up before I can act on a post. You'll
get an email from me and can reply to it directly — I'm not hiding
behind a ticket queue. Keep the conversation going by email as long as
you want.

## Notifications [#notifications]

You don't get notified when a post you care about changes state yet.
That's on the roadmap. Ironic, I know. For now, bookmark the post or
check back. Shipped items link to the [changelog](/changelog).

## FAQ [#faq]

**Can I edit a post after submitting?**
Not yet. If you made a typo or want to add detail, post a follow-up and
I'll merge them.

**Does voting cost me anything?**
No. One account, one vote per post. Toggle it off to undo.

**Will you always ship the top-voted item?**
No. Votes tell me what's wanted, but some things ship in a specific
order. I'll explain when I skip the top.

**What about private feedback?**
Email [contact@zerocut.gg](mailto:contact@zerocut.gg). Billing
questions, security reports, or anything you don't want on the public
board stays off it.
